LANDING ON MARVIN GARDENS
New York : Bantam, 1989.
Katie doesn't like her mom's news that they are going to have to move in with Aunt Rose. the neighborhood busybody. Katie's apartment is being converted into a condominium. Katie thinks this is the worse fate as Aunt Rose butts into her social life -- once even walking inside a home where Katie had been invited to a party just to see what the Black family had done by way of renovation. Katie thinks things couldn't get much worse when she runs into another ex-apartment dweller whose only choice was a seedy hotel on the wrong side of town. Katie comes to terms with Aunt Rose's manners but not without a lot of humorous and embarrassing incidents first.
