Thirteen-year-old Blue plans to spend the summer adventuring on her old motorboat in search of the long-lost treasure her grandfather never discovered during his lifetime.

Her plans, however, don’t go as smoothly as she envisioned.

Competition from the wealthy and well-outfitted treasure hunter Fitzgibbons creates a race for time. Blue’s plans become further complicated by her type 1 diabetes, her role as the “poster child” for a diabetes fundraiser, and having to befriend spoiled Jules—the daughter of the millionaire actor in charge of the fundraiser.

Deception, adventure, and danger abound as Blue and Jules form a tight bond of friendship and support in their quest to discover the treasure first.

Complications ensue as Fitzgibbons hits Blue’s family with a cease-and-desist order.
