Booktalk #1 Two homeless teens are living the hard life. Blink is hanging around a hotel lobby ready to sneak in to grab food from the room service trays left in the hallways. He stumbles on a kidnapping in progress. Actually it's a fake kidnapping. In another part of the city, Caution has just run away from her drug dealing abusive boyfriend. The two meet and pair up to investigate the kidnapping of a businessman. They hope to be able to get lots of money as part of the scheme. But you know things almost never turn out as we plan. Booktalk #2 Blink needs to eat. He needs to eat now. He’s snuck into a hotel, and hopefully someone has left something edible outside of their doors, but he ends up witnessing more than just his stolen breakfast. The reporters on TV say there’s been a kidnapping of a major CEO, but it didn’t look like a kidnapping to Blink. Meanwhile, Caution must escape from her boyfriend named Merlin, but it’s harder than she thinks when it appears that he can trace her every move. Colliding at a Toronto train station, Blink and Caution must trust each other with their secrets in order to solve the kidnapping mystery and move forward with their fragile lives.
