Twelve-year-old Charli doesn't like change, and lately there's been a lot.  She has a new stepfather and her beloved cousins, the Crandalls, who live across the street, take in an orphaned teen, named Sophia.  Her Uncle Will buys an abandoned mansion, asks the girls to help clean it up, and plans to turn it into a bed and breakfast.  As she is working, Charli sees a shadow of a cradle, hears the screaming of an infant and a quilt is mysteriously moved from place to place in the house.
Is the house haunted or is someone trying to keep Uncle Will from building his dream house?  (Pam Taylor,  ptaylor@augusta.k12.va.us, librarian)
