 Floss must make a big decision.  Her mum is moving to Australia for 6 months.  Her step dad has an important job to do and the family is going soon.  But that means that Floss will have to leave her school, her friends and most importantly, her dad.  She is all he has and Floss knows that he will be so lonely without her.  So she decides to stay with him rather than go to Australia.  But things don't go well.  Her dad loses his job and they end up homeless.  Her best friend turns out to be less than loyal.  And Floss learns a lot about friendship and family.
