Akilah
can't wait for her best friend to return at the end of the summer.
Even though they have only known each other a few years, Akilah and Victoria
are inseparable. But, Victoria's parents have returned to their homeland
of Nigeria for the summer and it's been really hard for Akilah. But
now summer is almost over and Victoria has returned. But she is different
somehow. She isn't the same old Victoria who loved to play with Akilah.
As a matter of fact, she doesn't want to hang out with her at all.
What could possibly have happened in Nigeria that would make Victoria so
different? |
