Meet Charlotte Tucker.  Actually, this is the fourth book in the series about her.  The story is based on the real Charlotte Tucker who was the grandmother to Laura Ingalls Wilder.  In this story, eleven-year-old Charlotte lives with her family in Roxbury, Massachusetts.  The family has lived in their house for some time and are happy there but that is about to change.  A dam is being built right near their house so there is much noise and dust.  They are afraid that when the dam is fully functional, the smell and traffic will be too much for the family.  If you enjoy the Little House books and want more, more, more like I do, than sit back and enjoy the story of Charlotte Tucker.
