Ira is in a dilemma about his first sleepover.  He has never slept without his teddy bear.  His parents encourage him to take his bear but his older sister insists his friend will laugh at him.  After playing and having a wrestling match Reggie’s father tells them it’s time for bed.  Reggie begins to tell a ghost story and scares himself.  He gets up, opens a drawer and pulls out his hidden teddy bear.  Ira walks next door to his house and returns with is own teddy bear.

This book would be perfect to use in dealing with childhood fears.  (Patty Shingleton, Hazard, KY)
