When Eliza’s parents refuse to allow
her to participate in a cake decorating class with her
friend, she is angry. But the opportunity to show her
parents she CAN stick with something, despite her track
record, comes when her brother drops out of his karate
class. Although Eliza isn’t terribly excited about karate,
she is determined to prove her parents are wrong about
her. What Eliza doesn’t realize, is just how difficult
sticking with it is going to be. (Pennsylvania Young
Reader's Choice Award Program, 2017) |
