Being the “it” girl in all the papers, the love interest of the famous First Son, and the daughter of one of the most influential men in the free world sounds great, until it actually happens to you. Sixteen-year-old Katie Quinn was loving life in California, living the life of a normal, happy teenager with her mother and friends until tragedy struck and Katie’s mother died. Moving crosscountry to live with her aunt and uncle wasn’t her ideal situation, but Katie made the best of her quiet, new life. Quiet, that is, until the day she arrived home to find her home overrun with reporters and secret service, oh, and a presidential candidate who claimed to be her father. Suddenly Katie was thrust into the spotlight and into a new home with a family she didn’t even know she had. She did her best to live up to the demands of a presidential campaign, but found that she and her long-lost father don’t see eye-to-eye on everything. While attempting to help her father understand the plight of undocumented residents, Katie inadvertently endangers her best friend’s family and puts her father in a very uncomfortable situation. If that wasn’t enough, Katie’s secret relationship with the incumbent President’s son was exposed, increasing tensions in her already uneasy household. Does Katie have what it takes to endure the spotlight and can she hold together the relationships she desperately wants?
