This is a graphic novel interpretation of Henry David Thoreau's classic book "Walden".  Using Thoreau's own words, Porcellino takes us on a journey of understanding.  In the 19th century, Thoreau rejected society and decided to live a simple life on his own. For two years, he lived alone among nature keeping a journal that was later published.   His writings espoused conservation and living off the land.
