country is abuzz with talk of war but Cassie is just worried about her
life as a young African American is Mississippi. When Cassie's friend Moe
gets in a fight with some white boys, Cassie knows that Moe must leave
Mississippi because there is no way he'll get a fair trial there. A group
of friends set out to drive Moe to Memphis so he can catch a train to Chicago.
Along the way, they face prejudice and intolerance.
