Booktalk #2
Meet
Elizabeti. She is a young girl living in Tanzania. Elizabeti's
mother has just had a baby and Elizabeti loves watching her mother care
for her young son. But Elizabeti longs for a doll to care for the
way her mother cares for Obedi. She looks around the village until
she finds just the right thing to use as her doll. As her mother
changes the baby's diapers, Elizabeti changes her doll's diapers.
As her mother carries the baby on her back, Elizabeti does as well.
There is just one thing though. The item Elizabeti has chosen to
use as her doll is quite unusual. Can you guess what it might be?
