Hugo Pepper is in for a wild adventure.  Having been abandoned in the Far North, he was found by reindeer herders and raised as their own.  Hugo is not your ordinary kid.  But now Hugo has learned who his parents really are.  It turns out that he is the son of a couple of ill-fated explorers.  And now Hugo is off on a journey to his parents' hometown to find out who he really is.   Only to find out that his grandfather has mysteriously disappeared.  With the help of several eccentric family friends, Hugo goes in search of the grandfather and the mystery.
