Have you ever done something that you think is a good thing?  And it turns out to be a bad thing?  That's pretty much what happens to Frankilee Baxter.  She is living in Clover, Texas in the 1950s.  She and her mother rescue a girl who is being abused.  After Angel moves in, Frankilee realizes it's not such a great thing.  The new member of the household causes stress between Frankilee's parents as they try to figure out how they can afford another child.  Angel tends to whine and complain about everything until she gets her own way.  There is just something about Angel that is not quite right. Can Frankilee find out what is truly going on before it's too late?
