King Louis XIV was the king of France many years ago. He was very vain and concerned about his height. He was only 5'4" tall which made him much shorter than most of the men of the time. So Louis decided to do something to make himself taller. He charged the royal shoemaker to make him a pair of shoes that will make him taller. Things did not always go well with that.
