THE NIGHT OF THE BOZOS
New York : E.P. Dutton and Co., 1983
IL 5-8
George and his uncle Hibbie tend to stay to themselves most of the time. They don't feel really comfortable around other people. While making a delivery for the bakery they work for, they come across a young hitchhiker in the road. They don't know it then but young Lolly will change their lives forever. Lolly works for the carnival and offers to show George and Hibbie around. Hibbie is fascinated with the whole lifestyle and sets out to get a job working as the carnival Bozo. George finds he is comfortable when he shares his music with others but can't bring himself to join in. What will George do without Hibbie? He just can't bring himself to join the others.
