What do a box camera, a tape recorder and a baseball glove have in common?  Stumped? Well, let’s try again. What do an old box camera that takes pictures of future events, a tape recorder that records what you are thinking, and a baseball glove that attracts space objects, large space objects, have in common?  These are all things Nick finds in his attic.

Nick, his dad, and brother Danny have just moved to an old Victorian home in Colorado Springs after a tragic fire costs them their home and Nick’s mother.   Wanting to raise some cash, Nick decides to get rid of all the junk they find in the attic, and that’s when the fun and mystery begins.  Nick and his new friends must track down all the items from the attic in order to save the world from a fatal collision with an asteroid poised to impact Colorado Springs.  (Prepared by: Heidi Lewis, Guinyard-Butler Middle School, South Carolina Junior Book Award)
