Darcy Wills is really looking forward to summer vacation.  She likes school and is smart but she needs a break.  But things will not be easy for Darcy this summer.  First the news that her boyfriend Hakeem is moving away.  Try as she might, she cannot convince him to stay with friends and not move with his family.  Her own father has left them and now her grandmother is very ill.  Not quite the summer vacation Darcy was dreaming about. But maybe, just maybe, she will meet someone new.  And maybe things will work out.
