Moving from Massachusetts in 1867 back to her birthplace of Catawissa, Pennsylvania, seventeen year old Verity Boone is filled with anticipation and excitement. She eagerly awaits the reunion with her father, whom she hasn’t seen in years. Verity is also about to meet Nate, the young man to whom she is engaged and has only spoken to in letters.
