Gooseberry Park is the home of Stumpy, a mother squirrel who makes friends with a bat named Murray, a Labrador retriever named Kona, and Gwendolyn, a hermit crab.  Stumpy is going to have babies and needs to build a nest for them.  But a terrible ice storm is about to change the destiny of the friends.  The storm destroys the tree and then Stumpy disappears.  Can her friends keep her babies safe until they can find Stumpy?
