Evie
is determined to take care of her baby--even if it means kidnapping her.
"At first the only thing I'd wanted to do was see my baby, you know, make
sure she was okay. I'd only gotten to see her once after she was
born because my dad said it would be easier that way." Evie and her
baby, along with her boyfirend Justin, set out for Montreal. But
when Justin bails, Evie finds herself alone in a strange town with a sick
child and learns that
being a "real" mother means
making heart-breaking sacrifices. "I could hear the sirens again.
I wanted my own mother. She would know what to do. But the
only mother was me." |
