Jai
is sent to boarding school when his parents are about to be deported to
India. What becomes quickly apparent is that secrets abound within the
school walls. Jai makes friends with Seal and Hugo and together they uncover
the headmaster’s plan to steal staff and students’ "futures", their inner
hopes and senses of purpose. Jai is mistaken as their leader by two staff
members who shapeshift into animals and time travel into other worlds and
take Jai with them. This is a fast paced fantasy and adventure where
time and place are not what they appear and a computer takes center stage
in the solution to a mystery. For all those Harry Potter lovers out there,
suggest Under The Cat’s Eye. Readers will not be disappointed. (New
Hampshire Great Stone Face Committee) |
