of this was supposed to happen. If only her new stepmother hadn't

been shipped off to England to live with relatives she had never met.

The farm in the countryside was so different from the apartment where she
lived in New York City. When Aunt Penn is called away on business,
Daisy and her four cousins were left on their own. It's not as bad
as it seems. The kids range in age from Osbert, age 16. The twins,
Edmond and Isaac, age 15. And little Piper who was 9. Everything
was actually quite nice and Daisy began to feel part of the family.
But then the unthinkable happened. War broke out. And now the
kids are cut off from everyone and trying to survive. |
