Some grandmothers are nice and give candy and kisses. Others are strict and think the parents are letting the kids get away with too much. Vicki has a strict grandmother. Gram is so mean that Vickiís Dad moved out of the house to get away. Now Vickiís mom must work at a new job that involves a lot of traveling so she can make enough money to pay the bills. Dad moved to California to get a new job and Gram is the baby-sitter while Mom travels on business. But Gram nags Vicki about everything - her room, her manners, everything! When Vicki canít take it anymore she breaks her piggy bank to pay for a bus trip to her Dadís. Little sister wants to go too (or sheíll TELL). So the two take the bus and arrive on the sidewalk outside Dadís new apartment.
