Rinaldi, Ann
AN ACQUAINTANCE WITH DARKNESS
New York : Harcourt Brace, 1997
IL YA RL 4.8
ISBN 015201294X
This is by far the most engaging of her books that I have read. It takes place in Washington, D. C. around the time of Lincoln's assassination and also deals with grave robbing for medical purposes. I learned a great deal of history that I had never heard (a great reason for historical fiction) and was wrapped up in the story. As with all her books, this is a solid read.
