It's the year 1878 and young Ida Kate Deming is looking forward to having her life change.  She and her father live on the prairie in Kansas and it's been just the two of them for a couple of years now.  Ida' mother has died so she has had to stay home and take care of the house.  But last winter, her father put an advertisement in a newspaper back east asking for a bride.  Several women responded to the ad but only one caught her father's attention.  He has been corresponding with Caroline Fairfield from Massachusetts and now she has agreed to visit to see if they should get married.  When Caroline gets off the train with her young son, Ida gets a funny feeling that something just isn't right here.  Caroline is wonderful and fits right in but Ida just can't stop thinking that all is not what it seems to be.  Papa is very happy with Caroline and it's looks as if the marriage is going to take place.  By this time, Ida has figured out that Caroline is an impostor and that she has probably killed the real Caroline.  Can Ida convince her father before it's too late?  Can she prove it?  Come along and try to figure out the RIDDLE OF THE PRAIRIE BRIDE.
