Niko is the captain of his very own spaceship that he built all by himself. When Niko spots a “lost cat” poster, he blasts off from Plant Home and zips to the moon to search for the cat with his dog, Tag and his copilot Radar. Not long after take-off, Niko discovers a stowaway, his sister, Posh. While Niko, Tag, and Radar are searching the moon for the cat, Posh sprinkles Tag’s dog treats on a moon rock and find the cat. Niko is so angry when he discovers that Posh has used up all of Tag’s treats, he leaves her on the moon. Niko’s crew is not happy that he left his sister. Will Niko return to the moon to get her? You will have to read Space Boy to find out if everyone makes it home safely.  (Pennsylvania Young Reader's Choice Award Program, 2017)
