Ellie is a whiz with a toolkit, and impresses everyone in her neighborhood with her brilliant building skills. When she learns that her best friend, Kit, will be getting a dog for her birthday, Ellie sets off to create the world's most amazing dog house! Her design is just a little too amazing, though, and Ellie finds herself struggling to finish her design before Kit's party. Ellie recruits the help of the neighborhood boys and girls to help her complete the project, but the boys and girls don't get along.
