young man befriends the oldest resident of the Eskimo settlement, and takes
up the reins of the only dogsled. Everyone else uses those noisy snow machines.
The young man finds his song along the trail that has him leave the old
man sitting upright in the snow to die and finding a pregnant woman who
must deliver the baby in harsh conditions
