The
Final Warning (Maximum Ride #4) Maximum Ride, or Max as she is known to
her friends, is a perfectly normal girl…except she can fly. This is the
fourth book in the James Patterson series which tells of the adventures
of a group of teens, children, and their faithful dog, Total all of whom
are the result of a genetic experiment. Each of the humans, Max included,
is part human, part bird…they have wings. Max and her cohorts are invited
to help with the study of global warming in Antarctica. Along with a group
of scientists, they travel by boat to a research station in Antarctica.
Every step of the way, Max and her friends have to battle the government,
who wants to study them, and various armies of robot-like soldiers, who
want to destroy them or auction them off to the highest bidder. To add
further interest, each member of the group is developing some additional
extraordinary power, each one different than the others. Max has only just
begun her adventures.
