Randall
doesn't really know what to do. On the one hand, he knows he should
tell who left the baby on the church steps. But if he does, they'll
find out about Queenie. And he promised not to tell Queenie.
But now the town is in an uproar. The tiny abandoned baby has caused
a split among the townsfolk. Should the baby stay with the preacher's
wife or should he be placed in the care of the only licensed foster home
in town? And, what will happen if the mother comes back? All
the while, Randall agonizes over knowing what he knows and keeping it to
himself. |
