Eleven-year-old Maybelle Lane has a hobby of collecting sounds. Her most treasured sound is that of her father’s voice on a recording she found on her mother’s old cell phone. Although Maybelle has never met her father, she would know his voice anywhere.

Anywhere turns out to be on the radio! Maybelle learns her father is a radio DJ and one of the judges for an upcoming singing contest in Nashville, Tennessee.

Her discovery sets off a chain of events as she is determined to compete. Maybelle signs up for the contest and must then find her way to Nashville. Journey with Maybelle, as she begins a road trip with more bumps, curves, ups and downs than she could have imagined.
