Nouwen, Henri
ADAM, GOD'S BELOVED
New York : Orbis Books, 1997.
IL AD
ISBN 1570751331
Henri Nouwen was renowned as a spiritual writer, but became humbled when he met Adam.  Adam was a young man with handicaps who had been placed in L’Arche Daybreak Community because his parents could no longer care for him at home.  His brother, Michael, was also at L’Arche.  Adam could do nothing for himself, but taught all who came into contact with him, even though he never spoke a word.  This is a story of Christ as seen through the presence of a young man who only lived about the same number of years as Christ and touched all who came to him.  (Mary Huebscher, Librarian, Holy Cross of San Antonio, San Antonio, TX  marwood45@hotmail.com)
SUBJECTS:     Christianity.
                        Arnett, Adam.
