The day started like any other day for Scotty Weems, a high-school sophomore at Tattawa Regional High School. He worried and chatted about the same old things … the basketball game (would it be cancelled because of snow?), the school dance on Friday (is Pete really taking Marissa?), and his best friend’s gokart (should I stay after school to help him build it? Why is he building one anyway? How old are we?). But the day did not end like any other day for Scotty. The snowstorm of the century made sure of that. He was stuck at school, in the cold, with his two best friends, two cute freshman girls, a complete weirdo, and the scariest guy in school.
