Booktalk#1 Told in alternate perspectives, we meet Stewart and Ashley and their families try to come together and merge into one. Stewart is 13 and he is a socially clueless genius. He is still mourning his mother's death but willing to try to make the new arrangement work. He has had to leave his school, Little Genius Academy and transfer to public school. But he has been put in 9th grade in the high school. Ashley is rather vapid and only concerned with appearances. She is popular with the other kids but not good with academics.
