(2 booktalks)

Booktalk #1

Ask children what cats do all day long.  Where do you think they go and why?  How are city cats different from country cats?  If you had to be a city or country cat, which would you be and why?  After talking about cats, let the readers look at the front of the book cover and ask which cat they think the book is about.  Afterwards, tell me that this cat is on the prowl and if they want to know what happened to it, they'd have to read it to find out the ending! ("Naomi Bates" <mira93@yahoo.com>)

Booktalk #2

This sleek book takes you into the heart of the city. While you follow this cat it's like being in a city and going to places that are dangerous, mysterious and part of the street-life.  Follow the cat and experience urban life like you haven't before. (Karen Womack kwomack7@yahoo.com)
