When
Annie is called out of her classroom by the principal, she can't even begin
to imagine how her life is about to become a nightmare. Annie and
her brother, Ted, are left waiting not knowing what is going on.
But Grandma comes to pick them up and tells them "something terrible has
happened and your mama and daddy are dead. You're going to come live
with us now and be our little girl and boy." What? Annie can't comprehend
what is going on. When she learns that her father shot her mother
and then killed himself, she doesn't want to even think about all this.
She finds herself trying to cope with her own grief, trying to help her
little brother through this and trying to figure out Grandma who has good
days and bad. |
