Catherine of Aragon was the first wife of King Henry VIII of England.  But that is not the way things were supposed to turn out.  Catherine was the daughter of the King of Spain and in order to forge a union between Spain and England, it was agreed that Catherine would marry Prince Arthur who would become king after his father, King Henry VII.  Catherine and Arthur did marry but Arthur died very early into their marriage.  Years past while the two kings tried to decide what to do with Catherine.  After several years, she was wed to Arthur's younger brother who became King Henry VIII.  This is her story.
