A familiar character, Judy Moody, and her brother Stink, are back in another set of adventures in the Judy Moody and Friends series.  In the first chapter, Jaws, Judy’s Venus flytrap, is looking poorly.  Dr. Judy, pet vet, decides that Jaws needs a friend and brings home a pitcher plant which seems to do the trick.  Not only is Judy a pet expert, so is her cat, Mouse, who helps Judy answer pet problems as a pet psychic.  All of a sudden, Judy’s toad, Toady, seems scared to death.  Maybe it has something to do with the pitcher plant?  This colorful chapter book is perfect for young independent readers.  (Garden State Children's Book Awards, 2018)
