Laurie can't believe this is happening to her.  Quin, only the star of the baseball team, has asked her out to a party.  Quin is a senior and Laurie is only a freshman.  Wow, maybe she will make it into the popular crowd!  Her mother is thrilled.  But when the night comes, Laurie learns that Quin is only interested in one thing.  And Laurie isn't about to give it to him.  So, drunk and tired, Quin drives Laurie home.  The sound of metal scraping and a loud thump wake Laurie up.  Quin is sure he hit a deer but can't find it.  Laurie just wants to get home and put this night behind her.  But that won't be happening.  As the weeks go by, Laurie begins to think that what Quin hit was not a deer.  What Quin hit could very well have been Analise who is now in a coma.
