When Ann and Bess play school, they tell Min that school is hard and she is not ready to join them. They even draw a line in the dirt saying, “You may not step over it.” But clever Min will not be thwarted so easily. She figures out an ingenious solution to her dilemma using two rocks, a board, a tube, a cone, and some rope. She doesn’t STEP over the line, but she does join Ann and Bess! Anyone who’s ever been told that he or she is too young, or too small, or not smart enough to do something will cheer Min and her resourcefulness in this very early reader in the I Like to Read series.
