Jazz music has been described as America's music.  But this is the biography of a Canadian musician.  Oscar Peterson was born in Montreal and grew up loving jazz.  As a young boy, his father insisted that Oscar learn to play the piano.  He wanted Oscar to be a classical pianist.  But Oscar wanted to play jazz.  He eventually made his way to the United States and became a force on the jazz stage.  He won numerous Grammy awards for his work.  This is the biography of a jazz musician who faced many obstacles in his life to play the music he loved.
