In the year 1828,  a horrible shipwreck occurred off the coast of Newfoundland.  There were 211 people aboard the Despatch when it went down.  Seventeen year old Ann Harvey is credited with helping to rescue 163 of them.  This is a fictionalized account of that dramatic rescue told from the viewpoint of Ann and Seamus, a young sailor on the ship.
