You may never have heard of Aaron Lansky but he did something extraordinary. Aaron always loved reading. He got his first library card at four years old! He grew up hearing stories of his grandmother who escaped from Eastern Europe as a young teenager. She didn't bring much with her: just some clothes and books. Yes, she loved books as well. Her books were written in Yiddish which was the everyday language of Eastern European Jews. When she landed in New York, her brother threw her books in the harbor saying she was American now. Unfortunately, through the years, many Yiddish speakers have gone and now very few speak the language. And books in Yiddish were hard to find. But Aaron started trying to find some. And then some more. How will this book collection end?
