Set
on an island off the coast of New England, this is a mystery involving
Upton Sotherby's daughter Annette, who claims to have been kidnapped by
fairies. Her psychologist and babysitter keep her from talking about it.
It's also the story of Molly Bassett, the only native islander hired by
the summer people to care for Sammy, the Truell's son while the Truell's
are off the island seeing to their dying mother. Molly is a no nonsense
type who knows what needs to happen to put an end to the silent treatment
the summer people are imposing on the islanders. |
