Moving into a new house was not Sylvia's idea.  She and her brother weren't really asked.  But Dad was offered a new job and they had to move closer.  The house is old and has a mysterious history.  It is known as the Gravedigger's Cottage and anyone who moves there is called a digger by the locals.  It certainly isn't an easy move for Dad either.  He is changing and Sylvia and Walter are getting worried.  Dad starts obsessing about smells in the house and sets out to stop all the leaks in the wall, the windows, the floors.  This isn't like Dad at all.  He hates household chores.  But now he can't stop.  Can Sylvia find out what is going on?
