Starting the book with Chapter 18, we meet Julie. She is at a Mexican resort pretending she is something she is not. She is using a fake accent and you just get the feeling she is on the run. But from what? Julie's story is told in reverse order so we are left to figure out what is going on. We know that her best friend, Imogen, has committed suicide but we don't know why. As the story unfolds, we follow Julie as she tells her story of her childhood and her meeting Imogen and how they become friends. This is a suspenseful mystery and we keep trying to figure out what is happening. And many times we are wrong.
