Have you ever thought that you might like to be a fly on the wall?  You know, so you could hear other people's conversations and not be seen?  It could be pretty cool.  But you do have to be careful of what you wish for or else you may actually get it!  In this case, Gretchen Lee wishes she were a fly on the wall so she could hear what the boys are talking about.  She is totally confused about how the boys act.  The morning after her wish, she woke up as a fly -- in the boys' locker room.  She may just learn more than she bargained for. But what good will it do if she remains a fly forever.
