In the final volume of the Monument 14 series, we find the kids living in a refugee camp. At least most of them are still together. Alex writes an article that gets published and now they are sure that their parents will find them. But he inadvertently puts Astrid in terrible danger. You see, there are some government officials who are taking pregnant women who have been exposed and running tests on them. Dean and Astrid are trying to keep her exposure secret but now the whole world knows. Dean, Astrid, Niko and Jake flee the camp to keep her safe.
